Today’s world is faster than ever. I often found myself juggling multiple aspirations. With social media, it is constantly throwing ideas at their viewers on different trends. The trend growing extreme popularity at the moment is the Home Depot selfie girl. This trend is reminding everyone that success isn’t solely defined by entrepreneurial ventures and unconventional career paths. It is essential to embrace the value of pursuing your dreams while maintaining a 9-5 job. The Home Depot selfie trend is showing aspiring entrepreneurs and women taking photos symbolizing their pursuit of unconventional paths. Don’t let this diminish the value of traditional employment. I’m here to tell you that it is okay to work a 9-5 job. It’s called the “Chicken Entrepreneur” approach. It’s when you wait until your side hustle makes twice as much as your 9-5 job and then you quit your 9-5. I love the idea of 9-5 jobs. Currently, I still work a 9-5 job. It provides financial stability and security while I build a strong foundation for my dreams. I use the income from my job to invest in personal growth, education and resources. Plus keep a roof over my head while I build up Winnerz Win LLC. Not to mention, my 9-5 job helped build skills and my network. Due to my job, I was able to put my selling abilities into practice and now put this into my second book. I was also able to meet some of my mentors and big business owners like the ones who run the company I work for. It also taught me work-life harmony. I’m able to learn how to maximize the time after work and even sometimes during work to focus on my dreams and help a business grow. I only get 4 hours max per day outside of work to be productive. It’s all about what I do with these four hours. There’s no need to be ashamed of your 9-5 job when you are working towards your true dreams. It’s a necessary step to success. Shout out where you work while you work towards your goals. Thanks, Carlos “Loso2.0” Henry
